TOD PETERSEN (HIMSELF) has played in Theater Latté Da’s productions of Oh, $#!%, I’m Turning Into My Mother, A Christmas Carole Petersen, A Man of No Importance, King of Hearts, Parade, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Our Town and Gypsy. He’s also played at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, the Children’s Theatre Company, the Illusion Theater, the History Theatre, Minnesota Jewish Theatre, Artistry at Bloomington Civic, Minnetonka Theatre, Interact Center for the Performing Arts and the Minnesota Fringe Festival. Tod is a teacher, writer, and director and has taught music and theater to kids in Minnesota, Thailand, and Honduras.
RYAN LEE (CAROLETTE) Alongside acting, Ryan Lee has been writing, recording, and performing music as an original singer/songwriter for the past 15 years. He performs regularly, has toured nationally and released five albums as an independent artist. Favorite productions as an actor include Woody Guthrie’s American Song, Arcadia, Arsenic & Old Lace, 1940’s Radio Hour, Lost in Yonkers and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is his first production with Theater Latté Da and he is absolutely thrilled to be here. Happy Holidays to all.
SARA OCHS (CAROLETTE) is delighted to return to Theater Latté Da after appearing in Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Our Town, Company, and two seasons of NEXT: New Musicals in the Making. Her credits include numerous productions with Mu Performing Arts, including Middle Brother (Mrs. Park), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), and Flower Drum Song (Mei Li). She has also performed with Park Square Theatre, The Ordway, Mixed Blood Theatre, Walking Shadow Theatre Company, Minneapolis Musical Theatre, and Skylark Opera. Sara is an Asian American Emerging Artist Award recipient and a member of ensemble-MA.
DOMINIQUE WOOTEN (CAROLETTE) is very excited to be working with Theater Latté Da on the hilarious and heartwarming A Christmas Carol Petersen. Though Dom hails from the east coast he sees a lot of his family in this show and hopes you do too! Dom was last seen as Beadle Bamford in Theater Latté Da’s production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Tracy in the Moving Company’s production of Liberty Falls. He would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season and a safe and prosperous new year.
PETER ROTHSTEIN (DIRECTOR) has directed 58 mainstage productions for Theater Latté Da, including 9 world premieres. Other recent collaborations include the Guthrie Theater, the Children’s Theater Company, Minnesota Opera, the Illusion Theater, Ten Thousand Things, and Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theater. He is the creator of All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 and Steerage Song – a musical created in collaboration with Dan Chouinard. Recently, Peter was named the 2015 Artist of the Year by the Star Tribune. He has previously been named Theater Artist of the Year by Lavender, and the Best Director by City Pages. He has been awarded grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Theatre Communications Group, the Minnesota State Arts Board, and the McKnight Foundation. He holds a B. DENISE PROSEK (RESIDENT MUSIC DIRECTOR) has worked extensively as a music director, pianist, and arranger in the Twin Cities for the past twenty years, including forty mainstage productions for Theater Latté Da. She has also music directed for the Children’s Theatre Company, the Guthrie Theater, Park Square Theatre, Mu Performing Arts, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Hennepin Theatre Trust, and the Ivey Awards, among others. Denise holds a Bachelor of Music from St. Olaf College. She was named a Playwrights’ Center McKnight Theater Artist Fellow in 2013–2014, Outstanding Musical Director in 2006 and 2008 from Star Tribune, Best Music Director in 2010 from Lavender, and Theater Artist of the Year in 2012 from Lavender.
EMILY ENGLAND (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR) has assistant directed across the country and is thrilled to be with Theater Latté Da. Assistant directing credits include The Jungle Book (Children’s Theatre Company), Pump Boys & Dinettes (Paper Mill Playhouse), Fiorello!, Constellations, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Berkshire Theatre Group), and The Good Person of Setzuan (Frank Theatre). She is a proud graduate of Otterbein University. Thanks to Peter and the Theater Latté Da family for opening their home to me.
RICH HAMSON (COSTUME DESIGNER) Rich has designed 9 previous productions for Theater Latté Da, including the Ivey awarded productions of La Boheme, Spring Awakening, and Cabaret. He is the resident designer for Chanhassen Dinner Theatre where his work can be seen in their current production of Camelot. He has designed for the Guthrie, the Ordway, the Children’s Theatre Company, the Minnesota Opera, the History Theatre, national tours, and many more regional, college, and high school theatre companies. He was selected by the Star Tribune as one of nine outstanding theatre artists in 2003 and was Lavender Magazine’s Artist of the year in 2014. Recently returning to the stage as an actor, Lavender named him “Best Lead Actor in a Musical” for the 2015 season.
MICHAEL HOOVER (SCENIC DESIGNER) has previously designed sets for Theater Latté Da’s Ragtime, Gypsy, Beautiful Thing, Song of Extinction, Floyd Collins, La Boheme, Sunday in the Park with George, A Man of No Importance, A Christmas Carole Petersen, Burning Patience and Wings. Michael also designs sets for several other local theaters, including the Guthrie Theater, Park Square Theatre, the History Theatre, Torch Theater, Mixed Blood Theatre, Girl Friday, Yellow Tree Theatre and the Minnesota Jewish Theater. In addition to his freelance career as a scenic designer, Michael is on staff at the Guthrie Theater, where he supervises the Scenic Art department.
MARY SHABATURA (LIGHTING DESIGNER) is thrilled to be joining the team for a Christmas Carole Petersen. Based out of the Twin Cities, she is resident lighting designer for Dark and Stormy Productions and has designed all their productions including, The Receptionist, The Hothouse, Sunshine, and And So It Goes. Shabatura has previously designed at Theater Latté Da (Gypsy, Ragtime), Shapeshift Dance, Artistry (Talley’s Folly), The Moving Company (For Sale), The Guthrie/B.F.A. Program at the Dowling Studio (Peter Piper/The Hidden People) and has served as assistant lighting designer at the Guthrie (Cocoanuts), and has worked with The Santa Fe Opera, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Penumbra Theatre, among others.
KEVIN SPRINGER (SOUND DESIGNER/ ENGINEER) has worked as a sound engineer and designer in the Twin Cities since 2010 and is a recent graduate of the Theatre Design and Technology program at the University of Minnesota. Recent work includes the sound design for Dutchman and The Owl Answers for Penumbra Theatre Company and an audio performance of field recordings and oral history recordings at the former State Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

ALLEN WEEKS (PRODUCTION MANAGER) has been working in the Twin Cites as a production manager, stage manager, and designer since graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Technical Production. Before working with Theater Latté Da, he was the Production Manager at Penumbra Theatre and Actors Theater of Minnesota; and the Company Manager at Climb Theater. Allen has also worked with Sample Night Live, Theatre Mu, Walt Disney World, Sesame Street Live/VEE Corporation, ShopNBC, Bloomington Civic Theatre, Virginia Luoma Dance, Minnesota Fringe Festival, Keane Sense of Rhythm, and many others.
TIFFANY K. ORR (PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER) is celebrating her seventh season as the Production Stage Manager at Theater Latté Da. While on staff she has stage managed numerous productions including Ragtime, C., Gypsy, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Oliver, Cabaret, Spring Awakening, and Evita. While in the Twin Cities, she has had the opportunity to work with many amazing companies including the Guthrie Theater, the Children’s Theatre Company, and Pillsbury House Theatre. This summer Tiffany will be returning to Wichita, KS for her eighth summer, as a part of the stage management team at MTWichita. Tiffany is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
